A kiwi banana living downunder.
I was born in New Zealand (hence ‘kiwi’) and moved to Australia in 1998.
Although I am of chinese ethnicity I lost my ability to speak chinese (cantonese) during my primary schooling years. In other words, I am what people term a “banana” – yellow on the outside, but white on the inside. I didn’t intentionally abandon my mother language, it just turned out this way.
Though I still understand some cantonese and enjoy watching Hong Kong action flicks – but they got to have English subtitles for me to read though 
I was married at the turn of the new century – in October 2000 actually – and we now have a beautiful 14 month old daughter.
