My wife once told me a story about how a teacher made every student in her class pass on a tiny piece of asbestos so that everyone would get to feel what it was like.
Sure it was just a tiny piece but I really wouldn’t encourage a primary school kid to be touching one. It was decades ago, so perhaps even the teachers were not as well informed about possible malignant Mesothelioma caused by exposure to asbestos?
I know for sure that in this time and day if that incident took place in a classroom, any parent would have lodged a complaint.
