Kiwi Banana Downunder

Thanks to my colleagues, I now have a blue ipod which I can’t live without during my travel to & fro work. However, it didn’t come with a case but that is alright, I plan to buy a cool ipod case at my overseas trip soon.

They also gave me a pair of ipod earplugs which is great of course. Now I just need an ipod dock to complete the set *LOL*. Like always, I would need to read up on ipod reviews before I make a purchase for the docking station.

Now I think my wife would want an ipod soon as she is on the road to changing her lifestyle to a more active one.

Yeah I wish! Eventhough I would very much love to replace our CRT TV with a LED or better still, 3D but that’s not practical and beyond our budget at this stage.

Anyway, it doesn’t hurt to imagine getting one. I looked around my current lounge room and was thinking where the LED would be mounted on. Sometimes I check out the tv stands at the electronics outlets whenever we’re there, just to see the types that are available in the market today.

If you ask how’s my weekends been, I’d say “what weekend?”. You see, so much had been happening every single weekend since late Autumn. Not the good happenings that is ? I really look forward to our long break in a few month’s time.

I’ll be bringing my trusty laptop while I’m away and let’s hope it doesn’t get wet by the sandy beach or stepped on by the kids at my in laws. If so, I’d prolly have a hard time getting my laptop warranty honoured once I get back here.

Anyway, I shouldn’t be thinking about negative things before my holiday even begins.

We were at Harvey Norman’s last weekend just looking around for some electrical appliances and more PS3 games. What caught my attention was the price of digital cameras nowadays. Each time I see it, I felt so horrible for spending $1.3k on our very first digicam in 2000 as that price could’ve fetch us a DSLR today.

Well, can’t actually compare a decade old pricing, can we? Like my wife always tell me, don’t buy now if you could wait, the price would surely drop. I guess everyone knows that but being a guy, you know, sometimes we just gotta have the latest gadget.

I am impressed with today’s way of inviting people to parties or events. We see them (invites) on Facebook as well as special websites that lets you create and account and send e-invites such as baby shower invitations, birthday parties, etc.

Though some people might prefer a personal touch especially those who don’t access the internet daily or often, I think it is a pretty cool idea using e-invites as it helps save trees!

Come to think of it, I hardly make use of our handycam. The last time I used it was prolly a year ago. Shame on me! I guess because of its size, we are too lazy to lug it around unless we go on a holiday. Gone were the days when I’d be so busy looking into the different type and make of camcorders to purchase. Now that I got one, it doesn’t seem like a big deal anymore.

I am glad to have bought one though. It does come in handy to record those special moments like when my little girl performs her first concert at preschool. Really looking forward to that towards the end of the year.
