It is rather funny knowing how women would tend to want to lose some weight before attending a major event like weddings and such. Some would do anything for a quick trim on the waistline.
Thank goodness us guys won’t go to that extent. We don’t even have to plan well in advance on what to wear, how to do our hair. For me, it’s anything goes and thankfully the wife is not fussy about how I present myself either.
Now let’s see when is the next wedding we are scheduled to attend so I could give the missus some time to “get ready”

With the re-org our team will be reporting to a new 1-up manager and I had received a meeting request for a 1-on-1 with the new manager for tomorrow 12pm-1pm! That’s so uncool … arranging for a meeting to take place during lunch hour, who does that anyway? Fortunately, later in the day the meeting request was re-scheduled to 9am-10am instead … not as uncool because at least I’ll have the 1-on-1 out of the way and will have my lunch hour back.
Now I just need to make sure I have a good night’s sleep so I can be fresh and alert for tomorrow morning!

For the longest time, we have considered getting a treadmill just to keep the extra calories off. But because our garage is so full there is absolutely no place for any exercise equipment, let alone home gyms.
Well since Plan A is no longer possible, I guess that means we are back to square one. Taking turns to jog around the neighbourhood seems to be the only solution for now. I am pretty sure my wife would prefer to jog only when it’s dark when the neighbours couldn’t see her
As for me, I have not jogged for the longest time. My wife finds it hard to believe I’d let myself go like this compared to my uni days.

It was a relatively quiet day for a Monday and that’s because tomorrow is a nationwide public holiday – Australia Day; so a number of people had taken the opportunity to take a 4 day weekend, instead.
I had actually managed to achieve quite a bit of work, today. That’s because I wanted to avoid being overloaded with work on Wednesday morning. The last thing I need upon returning from a public holiday is being distracted with outstanding items instead of focusing on what is on the cards for a Wednesday.

It was one of those odd days at work, nothing wrong but nothing special and the feeling of people being quieter than usual. This is most likely because next Tuesday is a national public holiday – Australia Day – and quite a number of people have taken the opportunity to take the Monday off thereby converting their weekend into a 4 day one.
I’ll be working on Monday, though. Not complaining because it’ll be a quiet day.
Still it just feels weird or odd people are winding down, especially when they all just returned from their X’Mas and New Year break.

This year has started off pear shaped in terms of Sales. Traditionally, you have the Boxing Day Sale followed by the New Year Sale. But this year, the Sale-with-no-name following the New Year Sale have better deals than the New Year Sale which is quite extraordinary. Perhaps retailers are banking on increased consumer spending on the back of the recession last year and tell you what, it’s working!
