Spent several hours up till midnight helping my wife troubleshoot some cgi scripts on her website. The host migrated her site to a new server thus the hiccups. It has been years since we last meddled with the scripts on her site and boy did it get me cracking my head again.
Problems still unresolved. It is interesting to note the different control panels between webhosts. This one is a bit complicated. Well it’s back to work the brain again tonight.

With my hectic weekday schedule (thanks to travel time and long hours at work) it is almost impossible for me to go browsing at stuff in shopping malls. By the time I get home, every mall would already be closed.
So what do I do? Fortunately there are online daily deals to check out and it has sort of become my past time. It is nice being able to window shop for electronic gadgets and computer stuff in the comfort of my home especially after my little girl has gone to bed.

If you are a new blogger looking to boost your blog’s popularity and visibility but unable to spend money to promote and advertise your blog, there are ways to do it without having to pay a single cent like submitting it to a free web directory. Easy as ABC.
I gotta admit, I am not in a position to offer expert opinion on how to give your blog the exposure it needs but well we all need to start somewhere. Browsing the internet and doing some reading on this subject might be of help.

I’m quite hooked – obsessed – to the very addictive PopCap games Bejewelled Blitz in Facebook. Before Facebook existed, I used to play the original game on PopCap’s own website and it was addictive enough back then! I recall showing this game to my workmates and soon enough a number of them were hooked onto this game and were soon cursing me for showing them the game! LOL.

This morning my wife told me my blog was coming up with an error and a quick investigation revealed the contents of the public folder had been deleted altogether!
My webhosting provider (bluehost.com) was not able to provide any details as to how, who or when the contents were wiped when I asked (through their Live Chat support).
In the end, I did manage to restore my blog, and this was made possible, with much thanks to:
- my wife – for making a recent full backup of the contents under the account on the webserver
- ‘rsorensen‘ (bluehost.com support) – for your very helpful advise and guidance
Without you two, I would’ve lost 18 months worth of posts and gone to bed a very very unhappy individual.

Remember back in early Janurary I had lost my Sony Ericsson K700c mobile phone? Believe it or not, it has been found!
It was found at work, underneath a set of drawers, behind where I normally sit. Somehow it had dropped onto the floor and then somehow crawled along the floor for at least 60cm and neatly slide itself underneath the drawers, in between the castor wheels. Perhaps it simply did drop and someone just happen to kick the phone under the drawers without knowing. Theories and mysterys aside, it was found.
So now I am the proud owner of 2 working mobile phones. Though the SE K700c needs a couple of changes: new housing and a new battery.

Just in case you’ve never heard of the SE 700c, physically it is identical in every manner to SE K700i. The difference lies with the software loaded on the mobile: the SE K700c has Chinese text language support. I would like to point out that this feature is rather pointless for myself since I can’t even speak Chinese let alone read it!
Anyway, I did attempt to track down a new housing for the SE K700c but was without luck. One retailer in Castle Hill Towers shopping centre did offer to order one in for me … for about AUD35. I gave it a pass.
I eventually headed over to eBay and placed an order from an eBay store located in Hong Kong. This should be arriving within a fortnight.
While on eBay, I also ordered a replacement battery from an eBay store closer to home: a Sony Ericsson standard battery BST-30 with a 670mAh rating. This actually arrived today.
